The Council Hears you Enclave

At last night’s meeting, it was explained that the developers failed to truly conduct due diligence as to how they would put in a connection to the Silver Comet Trail (SCT) both from a construction standpoint and obtaining government-approval. Apparently, there are quite a few regulatory requirements such as being ADA compliant as well as who and how a path connects with SCT plus the problem of installing a path with the large difference in elevation.

The council is pushing back on the developer to pursue approved alternatives by the county and city and to bring those back to an upcoming meeting. They also realized for future reference, that any development stating a connection to the SCT will require more scrutiny that they understand all the requirements involved.
